History: Sponsored by Gerald and Garnett Richards.  Farm purchased in 1978. Barn used for steers & goats. Stop by & you maybe greeted by the goats as they are out grazing. This quilt was painted by the Albany High School Art Class fall of 2010. This farm was purchased originally in 1848 for $100 by William Whittacker. William & Maria had eloped & came to America to follow their dream. They farmed here 11 yrs before leaving for Australia. The Richardson's have traveled to Australia and spent time with a great grandson of the Whittackers.
