Program – Airmail Beacons in Southern Wisconsin Fields

Presentation by Michael John Jaeger, volunteer at Kelch Aviation Museum in Brodhead. Modern day navigation and our understanding of getting from point A to point B was influenced heavily by the US Postal Service’s beacon towers. Airmail was critical to the development of American aviation in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Jaeger is a former pilot who serves as a volunteer docent and researcher at Kelch. Info: 608.214.8289.
