Snowmobile Trails

Badger State Trail

Visit: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/badger/

The Badger State Trail allows snowmobiling from Purcell Road (northern part of trail) to the Illinois stateline. Snowmobiles are not permitted in the Stewart Tunnel, OR on the portion of the trail between Monroe and Monticello when that area is open to ATV use. Snowmobiles are required to slow to 10 mph and yield the right of way within 100 feet of any person not on a snowmobile.  For trail conditions: http://statelinetrailblazers.smartertrails.com/

Club Trails

Several area snowmobile clubs maintain approximately 120 miles of groomed trails: Monroe Stateline Trailblazers and Brooklyn Sno Hornets. For trail conditions: http://statelinetrailblazers.smartertrails.com/

Sugar River State Trail

Visit: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/sugarriver/

Four Green County communities are linked by the trail: Brodhead, Albany, Monticello, and New Glarus. The Sugar River State Trail also links with various other snowmobile trails in the county. Trails are always closed when there is less than 6 inches of snow. For trail conditions: http://statelinetrailblazers.smartertrails.com/
