Summer Concert Series at MAC

You are invited to bring your blankets or lawn chairs to hear the great entertainment in MAC's 2021 Summer Concert series. Concerts are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the south outdoor terrace (on corner of 11th Street and 14th Avenue) of Monroe Arts Center. Free series!

Join us in welcoming Grupo La Septima Allianza. Madison's own Grupo La Septima Allianza will heat things up with their fresh and modern take on Latin tropical and regional Mexican music. They play a variety of music such as Cumbia (folkloric rhythm and dance from Colombia), Nortena (Mexican music from Northern Mexico), Quebradita (a Mexican dancing and music style), and Zapateada (dance styles of Mexico), with a lively rhythm punctuated by the striking of the dancer's shoes).

Off the Beaten Path (MAC Gallery at Monroe Clinic Hospital)

Photographer Gary Larson has a focus on landscapes and nature, and enjoys find the off the beaten path to get his shots. He prints the photos, cuts mattes, and builds his own frames from locally sourced, family-owned lumber mills.

Bill Ross Murder Mystery Tour

Get your Mystery & History fix this summer!
Join local Monroe author Bill Ross for a walking tour with nine stops combining the history, architecture and beauty of Monroe with the drama and suspense of his seven-book murder mystery series. 
Tours are 10 AM on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from June to October.  Tickets available at Monroe  Chamber of Commerce office. Tickets are $15.00 or 2 for $25.00. Tours are approximately 75 minutes and will begin and conclude at Monroe Chamber of Commerce Office 1505 9th Street, Monroe, WI.

Thanks to the Monroe American Legion Post No. 84 and Auxiliary Unit, Main Street Monroe will be co-hosting a 9/11 remembrance event with them this upcoming Saturday at 11am during the farmers market. Please join us on the west side of the courthouse to mark the anniversary and to recognize our own first responders throughout our greater community. A prayer and moment of silence will be led by Pastor Dennis Perger of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in South Wayne. The Honor Guard will also be in attendance.

Our historic Kilby Supper, held at the Swiss United Church, offers visitors a charming taste of community life. The church Kilby Supper has roots in the traditional Swiss celebration of Kirchweihe. This church gathering, an annual event in Switzerland, presents a special meal to welcome church members back from their summer of farming in the high mountain meadows of the Alps.
