Green County Master Gardener Plant Sale
- N3150 Hwy. 81
- 9 am - noon
The plant sale is an opportunity for area residents to purchase hardy zone 4 perennials, herbs and annual plants that have been grown locally by UW-Extension Master Gardener volunteers. Started vegetable plants, houseplants and unique plants will all be available as well as several handcrafted garden use items. The Green County Master Gardeners Association uses the proceeds from this plant sale to distribute scholarships to Green County area youth who are enrolled, or planning to enroll, in secondary education in a horticulture related field of study. Funds are also used for other Master Gardener Educational Events. The plant sale will be held in the Auditorium of the Government Services Building, Pleasant View Complex, N3150 Hwy 81, Monroe. UW-Extension Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to help you select plants to fit your gardening needs. Master Gardener Volunteers are trained by UW-Extension specialists to assist the public with garden and horticulture related questions and also provide thousands of hours of volunteer hours to community projects through Green County each year. There are currently over 30 Master Gardener Volunteers available to help answer gardening, turf, shrub, fruits, prairie and other horticulture questions through the UW-Extension office in Green County by calling 608-328-9440.
