A Christmas Carol Radio Show

Marley may be as dead as a door nail, but the great Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol is alive and well in MAC's first radio show. A holiday season tradition in the days before television was to listen to A Christmas Carol performed by actors for both a radio and live audience. Produced by Monroe Arts Center in partnership with Monroe Theatre Guild. Written and directed by Richard Hilger, a theater professional and former principal at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, with John Baumann in the role of Scrooge, this audio presentation features local actors playing multiple characters with ingenious and dramatic sound effects. Experience the magic and nostalgia of radio and create a new holiday memory.
