Golden Gates: Music, Song and Dance of Russia

Experience the exhilarating energy and remarkable talent of Golden Gate, an award-winning Russian singing, dancing, and instrumental ensemble. With a repertoire centered around masterpieces of Russian and Georgian music and dance, their performances range from gently humorous songs to elaborate lyrical suites to pulsating dance numbers. Well-known songs such as Kalinka and Volga Boatman, along with Cossack war melodies and Siberian love chants, Golden Gates lively program gives audiences an entertaining and authentic glimpse into Old Russia and Georgian folk traditions and cultures. Their presentations express the national character - outwardly reserved and cool but brimming with vigor, mischievousness, and vibrancy.
